Gill first became involved in TESOL teacher training at Farnborough College in 1995. Following a move to the south west, she continued training on both the Trinity CertTESOL and the Trinity DipTESOL courses. Over a number of years she was the course director of CertTESOL courses at Sidmouth International School and Exeter International School. Gill is currently a Trinity College London CertTESOL moderator, a DipTESOL examiner and an ESOL examiner. She holds a Trinity DipTESOL and a Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics with TESOL.
Tim is one of the most experienced tutors for MA (TESOL), DipTESOL and CertTESOL worldwide. He is one of the longest-serving CertTESOL moderators and DipTESOL examiners at Trinity College London.
Tim has worked for many years at Sheffield Hallam University as a Senior Lecturer, with particular responsibility for the MA (TESOL). He is now based at A+ Centres, Sheffield, where he is a Director.
Many teachers will already be familiar with Tim’s book ‘The Phonology of English: An Introduction for Teachers of ESOL’, which he co-authored with Ray Parker. Tim has also published a number of journal and conference papers.
Sally graduated from St. Andrews and found herself teaching in Ghana 3 months later - a class of 56 mixed ability, mixed nationality students, with a blackboard, 1 piece of chalk and no materials; that, she says, was the very scary start to her TESOL career 39 years ago! She has directed many CertTESOL and DipTESOL courses in the UK and has trained teachers in Budapest, Warsaw, Gran Canaria and Malta. She held the post of Chief Examiner Diploma at Trinity Headquarters from 2003 until 2005, when she moved to live in France. She currently works freelance, travelling widely in her work as a Trinity ESOL examiner and CertTESOL moderator, and also working online as a Dip tutor.
Nick has worked in EFL for over 20 years. He has taught and trained in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, as well as in the UK, both for the Trinity CertTESOL and the DipTESOL, and has also worked as a consultant to private and public sector bodies. He has written and contributed to several text books and is an external tutor for university MA programmes. He is also a moderatior for the Trinity CertTESOL and an examiner for the Trinity DipTESOL. He holds the Trinity DipTESOL and an MA in Applied Linguistics.
Alison has worked in EFL for over 25 years. She studied Modern Languages and, at the start of her career, taught English to Young Learners and in Business contexts in France and Spain. After gaining several years' experience teaching both adults and teenagers, she became a trainer on Trinity CertTESOL courses and then for the LTCL Diploma in TESOL, initially in the private sector and then in an HE environment. She is currently an external tutor on university MA programmes and is also heavily involved in testing. She is a Moderator for the Trinity CertTESOL and an Examiner for the Trinity DipTESOL. She holds a BA in Modern Languages, the RSA Dip TEFLA and an MA in TESOL.
